Hey, Folks.
I’m delighted to tell you that four Prince Edward Island songwriters are heading to Nova Scotia for a show next week. We are being presented by the DeCoste Centre at the Legion in Pictou on Friday the 25th.
I’ll be joined by stellar writers Catherine MacLellan, Dennis Ellsworth and Todd MacLean. We are part of Songs for a Small Planet, a songwriting collective focused on issues of climate change and justice. We began this effort a couple of years ago and present concerts every few months.
Our collective started on Prince Edward Island and has the goal of including songwriters from across the country and around the world. The intent is to ignite a network of musicians to compose visionary songs of hope, community, justice, and environmental renewal. Change comes when people take charge in great numbers in a million small ways. It is an exciting time to be a songwriter. If this project interests you be sure to get in touch, and we hope to see some of you in Pictou.
Cheers,
Teresa
